Dr. Katharina Marx advises national and international clients primarily on tax issues in connection with the structuring and ongoing taxation of investment structures as well as on acquisition and other tax issues. This includes, in particular, structures related to real estate or infrastructure and other alternative investments. She also has experience in issues at the interface with regulatory law.
Dr. Katharina Marx advises both at fund and investment structure level as well as at (institutional) investor and asset level.
After studying law at the University of Trier/Università degli Studi di Genova (Italy) and completing her legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz, Dr. Katharina Marx was admitted to the bar in 2016. She obtained her doctorate in 2021 at the University of Jena in the field of non-profit law. She has also been a certified tax advisor since 2024.
Before joining Luther's Investment Funds & Alternative Investments team in 2025, Dr. Katharina Marx initially worked for the international law firms Clifford Chance and DLA Piper in Frankfurt.
