Henrik Fischer advises on matters pertaining to environmental and planning law, fees and charges law and, more generally, administrative law. He specialises in water law, where he advises his clients comprehensively on matters as diverse as the issuance and renewal of permits under water law, flood control law, waste water law or the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. In addition, Henrik Fischer also specialises in public building law, where he assists with the preparation of development plans and the conclusion of the urban development contracts required for this purpose, as well as assisting with the application for building permits and the defence against orders issued by the building supervisory authorities. His third area of specialisation is mining law, where he advises on the implementation of geothermal energy projects within the context of the heat transition, in addition to traditional underground mining for the extraction of mineral resources
Henrik Fischer studied law at Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf and at the University of Leipzig (both Germany) and, during that period, already placed an emphasis on public law, in particular environmental and building law. After graduating from university, he did research in the department of environmental and planning law at the Leipzig-based Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, dealing with matters such as sustainable urban development, water and waste water law, as well as municipal and municipal tax law. After successfully completing his legal training at the Regional Court of Leipzig, he joined Luther as a lawyer.
