Non-transparent structures, unconnected processes and a lack of control options are currently holding back many procurement organisations. The result: loss of efficiency, quality risks and unnecessarily tied-up capacities. Luther supports you in establishing modern and dynamic procurement management – clearly structured, digitally networked and controllable. We offer the following services:
Our consulting services are supported by a KPI-driven dashboard that creates transparency regarding deadlines, volumes and ESG criteria, while clear training paths and the procurement competence centre provide long-term relief for employees.
We strategically structure procurement in line with your budget and economic planning – product groups, administrative expenses for personnel, IT or digital projects are managed strategically, requirements are bundled and supplier portfolios are created. In this way, we create a clear basis for transparency, efficiency and scalability. In addition, we set up an AI-supported contract database in a German cloud, which records contractual relationships across product groups and manages them efficiently through contractual relationship management. Finally, with the procurement competence centre, we establish a central unit that ensures quality, sets standards and bundles knowledge within your organisation.
We drive innovation in procurement in a targeted manner by introducing dynamic procurement systems for recurring and standardisable services, such as consumables or services.
With a focus on cost-effectiveness and legal and compliance requirements, we design tender procedures to be completely digital and thus efficient, transparent and audit-proof.
Looking ahead, we also provide support with AI-based solutions for the preparation of service specifications and tender documents. In this way, we combine practical innovation with future technologies and make your procurement fit for the next stage of development.
These services are provided by our colleagues from the specialised department Luther Public Procurement Law.
We work with your teams to draft and negotiate specific purchasing and project contracts. We draw on our expertise from numerous purchasing processes and IT projects, as well as our experience in real estate-related procurement and human resources project structures. This ensures that the contracts reflect practical and economic requirements. The focus here is on price and delivery security as well as data protection compliance. In addition, we ensure that the supply chain is effectively structured from a regulatory perspective (including ESG). Furthermore, we ensure that warranty and product liability claims, as well as contractual penalties and service level credits, can be effectively asserted if the delivered products or (IT) services deviate from the desired specifications. In this respect, we always pursue the goal of reaching an out-of-court settlement – but we also provide support in the context of litigation if an out-of-court settlement cannot be reached.
These services are provided by our colleagues from the individual specialist departments: Luther Commercial, Luther IT/IP, Luther Real Estate & Infrastructure and Luther Employment Law.
In addition to the above services, we offer our clients so-called quality assistance measures (Q-Help), which are already included in the procurement contracts. According to these measures, suppliers who do not meet their time and/or quality specifications are supported by specialised teams in fulfilling their services. This support is usually provided directly on site and addresses the specific problems at hand in order to resolve them as quickly as possible. Here, too, our sole focus is on working together to achieve fast, efficient and high-quality procurement. In (complex) IT projects and IT supply relationships, we support our clients in obtaining the services within the agreed time frame and budget. This also includes legal support for implementation projects on site (e.g. change request management, support for escalation meetings, enforcement of contractual penalties).
Advice on this service is also available from the Luther Commercial department.
We support you in consolidating and standardising existing procurement processes. This includes the structured introduction of suitable digital tools and interfaces (API), the establishment of a central contract management system and a clear knowledge database.
For ongoing management, we work with you to develop a KPI cockpit that clearly displays key performance indicators – such as throughput times, ESG criteria or contract terms – and prioritises them using traffic light logic. This makes processes transparent, consistently documented and efficiently controllable.
