Consolidation in the European IT security market: Luther advises founders of doIT solutions GmbH on strategic partnership with French I-TRACING Group

doIT solutions, a specialist in managed SOC services and security consulting, and the I-TRACING Group, the market leader in cyber security solutions in France, have entered into a strategic partnership. The transaction, in which the I-TRACING Group acquired a majority stake in doIT solutions, was supported legally and strategically by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.

Background

The partnership enables doIT solutions to expand its portfolio and expertise in the cyber security services market. The I-TRACING Group benefits from the local team of experts and their expertise, particularly in the important SME market, to further develop its technologies and offer its globally organized services to customers in the German-speaking market.

In February 2025, I-TRACING strengthened its position in the market through a partnership with Bridewell, the leading cybersecurity service provider in the United Kingdom. The growth of the French group is also supported by investments from private equity investors Eurazeo and Oakley Capital. Luther advised doIT solutions throughout the entire process, from the negotiation of the partnership agreement to the closing.

The focus was on safeguarding the interests of the shareholders of doIT solutions and optimally structuring the legal framework for a successful and long-term cooperation, taking into account the specifics of a cross-border transaction.

"As the founder of doIT solutions, it was important to me to select a reliable M&A expert for this sale process. In Dr. Björn Simon, I found a competent and trustworthy partner for all transaction matters, who impressed me with his pragmatic approach and, more importantly for companies, his trustworthy cooperation. His negotiating skills and process experience from his time in investment banking were crucial to the successful completion of the transaction," explains Dominik Oestreicher, founder and managing director of doIT solutions.

“We are very pleased to have supported doIT solutions in this important step. Our advice was aimed at facilitating a partnership that would bring lasting benefits to both sides and strengthen the innovative power of both companies,” says Dr. Björn Simon, lead lawyer at Luther.

With regard to the French aspects of the transaction, LUTHER once again collaborated with FIDAL as the cooperation law firm of the unyer network. The contact person here was Anne Fréchette Kerbrat, FIDAL Paris.
