Stefanie Kandzia advises clients on intellectual property rights, in particular on trademark and competition law. She also advises clients on how to develop and expand their trademark portfolios; this includes carrying out registration and appeal proceedings before the German and European trademark offices, the WIPO and the German Federal Patent Court (Bundespatentgericht).
Stefanie Kandzia studied law at the University of Bielefeld (Germany). She obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from Duke Law School, North Carolina (USA) in 2004. She carried out her legal training at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg (Germany). Stefanie Kandzia was admitted to the German Bar in 1997 and admitted to the North Carolina (USA) State Bar in 2004. Stefanie Kandzia lived and worked in the USA between 1999 and 2000 as well as between 2003 and 2019. She has worked for Luther since 2019.
