Lutz Keller

Lutz Keller advises national and international clients on matters pertaining to IT, copyright and data protection law. His legal practice focuses on drafting and negotiating IT contracts, including licence, IT outsourcing and IT project agreements. His services further include advising on data protection issues, in particular, examining the permissibility of future data processing activities and examining and assessing how the protection of data is organised internally.

Lutz Keller studied law at the University of Bonn (Germany) with an emphasis on business and competition. As part of his legal training, he inter alia completed training periods at a commercial law firm in Dusseldorf (Germany), the German Federal Network Agency in Bonn, and a law firm in Cape Town (South Africa). 

Lutz Keller was admitted to the German Bar in 2018 and initially worked for Luther in IT law and logistics. He then established the legal department of the largest German group subsidiary of an internationally operating TecDAX company. Lutz Keller joined Luther’s Cologne office in May 2022.
