Areas of practice

Severin Uhsler advises domestic and international clients on all matters pertaining to German and European antitrust law. In addition to dealing with merger control issues, he concentrates his practice on investigations and fine proceedings by cartel authorities and on judicial and extrajudicial dispute resolution. This also includes acting as a litigator in antitrust damages proceedings. His advisory services further focus on vertical agreements in distribution, cooperation between competitors and antitrust compliance. Moreover, Severin Uhsler also advises clients on investment control under German foreign trade and payments law (FDI).

Vita

Severin Uhsler studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (Germany) and at the University of Oxford (England). He passed his second state law exam in Munich. Part of his legal training involved working for the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission in Brussels (Belgium) and in the antitrust department of an internationally operating law firm. In addition, he also spent several months abroad working for an international commercial law firm in New York (USA). Severin Uhsler is currently working on his doctorate at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, where he also worked for several years as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law, European and International Business Law.

Severin Uhsler was admitted to the German Bar in 2023 and commenced his professional career at Hengeler Mueller mbB, where he primarily advised on antitrust  issues. He joined Luther’s Munich office as an antitrust lawyer in September 2024.
