Vita

Tim Schinkel studied law at the University of Cologne. During his legal training, Mr Schinkel completed placements at leading German and international law firms in the field of corporate law/M&A.


Tim Schinkel studied corporate and financial law at the University of Glasgow in 2019/2020, where he obtained his LL.M.
Before joining Luther, Mr Schinkel worked for leading international law firms in the field of corporate law/M&A and spent six months on secondment as general counsel for an international luxury hotel chain.

  • Statutory health insurance - Advised on the exit from a joint venture in which several statutory health insurance companies had pooled their IT infrastructure.
  • Vonovia SE - Advised on the sale of a minority stake in Südewo (intermediate holding company owning 21,000 apartments) to funds affiliated with Apollo.
  • Commercial bank – Advised on an intra-group restructuring and spin-off of pension liabilities of a private equity subsidiary.
