Mr. Thönißen provides legal advice to national and international clients within the field of individual and collective employment law. One of his main focuses is litigating employment law cases in court. Mr. Thönißen particularly advises firms concerning both corporate reorganisations and transfer of business. Besides providing legal advice on such matters, he also intensively supports clients in collective bargaining procedures with the competent employee representatives.
Klaus Thönißen was born in 1982. He studied law at the University of Bonn, Germany. During his professional traineeship at the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, he worked in Düsseldorf and San Francisco, USA. He also spent several months working for a large international law firm, working in the practice group employment law. After this traineeship, Mr. Thönißen attended a 1-year LL.M. program at the University of San Francisco and received the degree Master of Laws (LL.M.). He joined Luther in 2012.
