Katja Neumüller specializes in corporate domestic and cross-border transactions, covering outbound and inbound investments, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific-region, particularly China and India. She primarily advises German and European companies active in different industries on their global expansion by way of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures as well as intragroup restructurings, just to quote a few. In addition, Katja Neumüller advises foreign investors on their market entry into Germany, which includes corporate law and capital market law advice.
In addition to qualifying for university in Germany, Katja Neumüller graduated from the high school in the USA in 1999. After studying law at the universities of Göttingen and Madrid, she completed her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, which also included working for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Düsseldorf as well as for Luther in Düsseldorf and Singapore. Katja Neumüller joined the Corporate / M&A team of Luther in Cologne in 2011 and worked for some time in the office of Luther in Shanghai in 2014. She has been the speaker of the OAV Young Leaders of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association for North Rhine-Westphalia since 2015 and has been elected in March 2022 also as global speaker of the OAV Young Leaders for Germany and Asia.
