Volkan Top advises national and international banks, financial institutions, investors and companies on corporate law as well as banking and finance law matters. He specialises in structuring, negotiating and documenting acquisition and project finance as well as M&A transactions relating to infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
Volkan Top studied law in Heidelberg and Mannheim (both Germany) with an emphasis on corporate and capital markets law and private international law. He carried out his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe (Germany), which included completing a training period in an international business law firm in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), amongst others. In addition, he worked as a research assistant for attorneys at the German Federal Court of Justice (Rechtsanwälte beim Bundesgerichtshof) in Karlsruhe and in a renowned business law firm in Stuttgart (Germany). Volkan Top is a member of the German Bar and has worked for Luther’s Capital Markets, Banking & Finance team since 2019.
