Volkan Top specialises in national and international financing transactions. He advises banks and private debt funds as lenders, as well as private equity funds, sponsors and companies as borrowers, on acquisition, project and corporate finance transactions, in particular in the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
Volkan Top studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim (both Germany) and carried out his legal training in the District of the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe (Germany). Part of his legal training involved working in an international business law firm in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). He also worked as a research assistant for lawyers admitted to practice before the German Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. Volkan Top is a member of the German Bar and has worked for Luther’s Capital Markets, Banking & Finance team since 2019.
Volkan Top regularly gives lectures and publishes on banking and finance law topics.
