Luther advises the shareholders of OWL Marine on the sale to the British JLT Group

Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft has advised the owners of the Hamburg insurance broker OWL Marine Insurance-Brokers GmbH & Co. KG on the sale of the company to the London insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson.

OWL Marine Insurance-Brokers GmbH & Co. KG is an independent insurance broker focusing on the maritime industry. The company specialises in marine and transport insurance (Protection and Indemnity, P&I for short).

A Luther team from the areas of corporate, maritime law and insurance law provided legal support to the sellers in negotiating and drafting the purchase contract. The buyer Jardine Lloyd Thompson is one of the largest providers of insurance, reinsurance, brokerage and related services worldwide. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
