Areas of practice

Dr Jörgen Tielmann advises listed and non-listed companies on all aspects of stock corporation and capital market law and supports them during M&A and capital market transactions. His practice covers the entire range of stock corporation, corporate group and capital market law. Jörgen Tielmann specialises in advising and assisting with general meetings of shareholders, legal challenges, corporate governance issues, managing directors’ and board members’ liability issues and M&A transactions. He regularly publishes contributions to handbooks and articles on topics related to stock corporation law and is (co-)editor of a legal commentary on supervisory board law.

Dr Jörgen Tielmann studied law at the Universities of Tübingen and Göttingen (Germany) and obtained his Master of Laws degree from the University of Manchester (England). He has advised companies and entrepreneurs on matters pertaining to corporate law since his admission to the Bar in Germany in 1998; since 2006, he has done so as a partner with Luther. From 2008 to 2018, Jörgen Tielmann headed Luther’s stock corporation, banking and capital markets practice. He also sits on supervisory and advisory boards from time to time, most recently – from 2021 to 2024 – at Biofrontera AG, as vice chairman of the supervisory board. Jörgen Tielmann has broad experience and knowledge in corporate law, in particular, stock corporation, corporate group and capital market law.
