Simon Wickel advises national and international companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings, as well as on general corporate law issues.
He has particular experience in transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors. Recently, he has advised on plant, grid infrastructure and contracting projects as well as on various projects in the renewable energy sector (including onshore and offshore wind, PV, BESS and biogas). Simon Wickel advises both developers and investors.
As a member of Luther’s Italian Desk, he also has special expertise in German-Italian legal relations, in particular, cross-border transactions and corporate governance of Italian group companies in Germany.
Simon Wickel studied law in Freiburg (Germany) and Pisa (Italy). He already worked for Luther during his legal training in Dusseldorf, before taking the bar exam there. He also spent part of his legal training in a leading Italian M&A law firm in Milan.
Since joining Luther as an attorney, Simon Wickel has advised on a variety of M&A transactions and other projects involving corporate law issues. He is acquainted with complex share- and stakeholder structures and processes. Simon Wickel is happy to assist in developing tailor-made solutions and bringing transactions to successful completion.
