Paul Gooren advises corporate and other clients on all matters pertaining to individual and collective employment law, inter alia, the drafting of employment contracts, dismissals, industrial action, co-determination, compliance, works constitution law, and collective bargaining agreements. In addition to providing legal advice, he also acts as a litigator before labour and civil courts. Furthermore, he has authored various specialist publications.
Paul Gooren studied law in Berlin (Germany) and Bologna (Italy) until 2010, following which he worked as a research assistant for an employment law chair at the Berlin Humboldt University. In 2014, Paul Gooren was awarded his doctorate from the University of Leipzig (Germany) for a thesis on a collective employment law topic. Paul Gooren carried out his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, which also included a period of training in New York (USA). He then completed a course of studies at the University of Chicago (USA) to obtain his LL.M. (Master of Laws). Paul Gooren was admitted to the German Bar in 2016 and joined Luther the same year.
