Luther advises on the new building of the Medical Association of Lower Saxony

Hanover – With the new building of its state office in Hanover, the Medical Association of Lower Saxony (ÄKN) is setting an example for the cityscape. Luther supports ÄKN in realizing the presented design by Grüntuch Ernst Architekten.

With the construction of the new regional office, ÄKN offers its approximately 41,000 members a modern replacement for its outdated headquarters. The new building complex is designed as a "House of Encounter", which, in addition to 200 offices, offers space for further training, for the examination of doctors and medical assistants, for patient forums, public events and art. The old building has to be demolished due to serious structural defects and for reasons of health protection.

The client opted early for Luther's legal and technical project management as well as the procurement of the construction services in partnering. ÄKN estimates construction costs at around 50 million euros and expects the new building to be completed in around four years. Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank eG is a financing partner.
