Stuttgart – Luther has advised CHIRON Group SE on the sale of Scherer Feinbau GmbH whose registered office is in Alzenau (Germany).
Due to the crisis in the automotive industry and the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the aviation industry, the CHIRON Group is facing a significant drop in demand. In order to secure the future of the group of companies, the management, administrative board and owners have initiated an extensive reorientation. In addition to the sale of Scherer Feinbau GmbH, this also includes the pooling of production and assembly at the locations Tuttlingen and Neuhausen ob Eck (Germany) as well as focussing on the service and sales of Stama products at the location in Schlierbach (Germany). Luther advised CHIRON Group SE on the sale to EMAG Systems GmbH.
The CHIRON Group, whose registered office is in Tuttlingen, specialises in machines for CNC-controlled vertical milling and shaft turning centres as well as turnkey manufacturing solutions. The group is represented worldwide with its production and development sites, sales and service branches and commercial agencies. With its 2,100 employees, the group achieved sales of EUR 498 million in 2018. Approximately two thirds of the machines and solutions sold are exported.
