Luther advises CEO and shareholder of Ecoroll AG Werkzeugtechnik on the acquisition of the company by Pinova Capital

Hamburg/Hanover – Investment funds advised by Pinova Capital GmbH have acquired a majority stake in Ecoroll AG Werkzeugtechnik. Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised the long-standing CEO of Ecoroll, Dr.-Ing. Karsten Röttger, on the increase of his stake as part of the transaction.


Dr.-Ing. Karsten Röttger has been Ecoroll’s CEO for many years and has held a financial stake as a co-shareholder long before Pinova Capital became involved in the company. Now, together with Dr.-Ing. Karsten Röttger, Pinova Capital intends to drive Ecoroll’s growth as a market leader in the mechanical surface treatment sector and further develop Ecoroll into an international full-range supplier in the area of mechanical surface finishing.

As part of the transaction, Luther provided legal advice to Dr.-Ing. Karsten Röttger and his private holding company.

Ecoroll AG Werkzeugtechnik is a leading supplier of tools and machines for mechanically improving the surface of metallic components. Ecoroll distributes tools and machines for (roller) burnishing, deep rolling and cylinder tube processing via a global distribution network. In 2019, the company received the Bosch Global Supplier Award in the category “Innovation”.
