Green Bond: Luther advises wind turbine manufacturer Nordex on EUR 333 million convertible bond issue

Hamburg, 17 April 2023 – Nordex SE, one of the world's largest manufacturers of wind turbines, is issuing a convertible bond. The company was advised by a team from Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft during the placement. The law firm has been advising Nordex for a long time, including on the issue of a corporate bond in 2011 and on several capital increases between 2007 and 2020.

Background

Nordex SE has announced the successful placement of new green convertible bonds with a total nominal amount of EUR 333 million and a maturity date of 14 April 2030. The issuance of the convertible bonds by Nordex has now been completed on 14 April 2023. Inclusion in trading on the Regulated Unofficial Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is expected to take place shortly.

The net proceeds from the issuance of the convertible bonds will be used to finance green projects qualifying under Nordex's Green Bond Framework, such as the generation of electricity from wind power and the installation of renewable energy technologies.
