Dr Astrid Seehafer is a partner in Luther’s Berlin office and a proven specialist in the fields of product compliance, product liability and ESG.
She advises companies in manufacturing and trade (retail and wholesale trade, e-commerce, recommerce and quick commerce), in particular in the MedTech, pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, beauty, fashion and consumer goods sectors, as well as platform companies.
Astrid Seehafer provides expert strategic advice on all regulatory issues, above all with regard to the development, authorisation, manufacture, marketing and disposal of products, as well as on the requirements resulting from the EU’s Green Deal Regulations.
Moreover, she is a seasoned litigator with experience in defending cross-border and complex product liability disputes. Her clients especially appreciate her industry knowledge, her strategic foresight and her pragmatism.
Dr Astrid Seehafer studied international business and economics and, additionally, law in Groningen (Netherlands), London (England) and Berlin (Germany). She received her doctorate from the University of Hanover (Germany) for a thesis on a food law topic.
From 2015 to 2022, Astrid Seehafer worked at Freshfields in public business law with an emphasis on product lability and product compliance, in particular in the health care and consumer goods sectors. She then moved to ARQIS in 2022, where, as a partner, she built and headed the product law practice until 2024.
Astrid Seehafer joined Luther as a partner in autumn 2024.
