Daniel Hilmer studied law at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and also spent some time studying abroad in Hongkong and in Shanghai (China).

Part of his legal training involved working in Luther’s Hamburg office, in the legal department of a large university hospital and at the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York (USA).
