Background

Momeni has sold the Springer Quartier project. Five pension funds were awarded the contract. The purchasers received legal and tax advice from the team of Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft on the largest single property deal that was ever held in Hamburg.

The Springer Quartier is a central area at Axel Springer Platz in Hamburg, which will comprise a gross floor space of approx. 60,000 m² including the listed offices of the name giver. Completion is expected in 2020. The previous owner was Momeni, a project developer specialized in landmark real estate, among other things.

In an international bidding process, the contract was awarded to a project company of Ärzteversorgung Niedersachsen, Ärzteversorgung Sachsen-Anhalt, Ärzteversorgung Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Ärzteversorgung Niedersachsen and Steuerberatererversorgung Niedersachsen. Some of these pension funds have already invested in the projects Stadthöfe, Alstercampus, Katharinenquartier and Lohse-Park in Hamburg – assisted by the Luther team.
