Since 1 February 2018, Prof. Dr. Herbert Willems has been strengthening Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in the field of public law. His range of consulting services derives from the focal points of his scientific interest, with which he has worked as a judge at the Higher Administrative Court of Münster for more than 30 years.
“We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Herbert Willems to Luther", says Dr. Stefan Kobes, head of the practice group EPR (Environment Planning Regulation) at Luther. “His many years of experience and wide-ranging knowledge of public law are an enormous asset for our company and our clients. We particularly appreciate his passion for fundamental issues and his interest in thinking outside the box. He will be an excellent addition to the strong Essen-based EPR team led by Dr. Gerd Ulrich Kapteina."
During his time in Münster, Willems was involved in a wide range of legal fields in his teaching and judicial duties. These include, among other things, municipal law, higher education law, the law of other public law bodies, in particular the chambers of commerce, the professional law of the liberal professions, especially doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists and psychotherapists, procedural law, the legal relations of the public service and constitutional law, including electoral law and the right of state organisation.
“At Luther, I find an open environment in which the creative power of our young colleagues is appreciated as much as the knowledge, experience and skills of our older professionals. I am very much looking forward to working together in this new field of activity ", says Prof. Dr. Herbert Willems.
