Hanover, 22.11.2023 – The Gauselmann Group has won the tender for the casino licence in the state of Lower Saxony. It was legally advised by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.
In March 2023, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Finance put the casino licence for the operation of up to ten casinos in Lower Saxony out to tender. In this procedure, MSBN Projekt GmbH & Co. KG, a Gauselmann Group company, has now been awarded the competition and the licence to operate the casino for 15 years.
Gauselmann once again placed its trust in the Luther casino team, which had already secured the casino licences in Saxony-Anhalt and North Rhine-Westphalia (through the purchase of the former WestSpiel Group).
"We were able to convince with innovation and legal certainty," says David Schnabel, the responsible Managing Director at Gauselmann.
The Gauselmann Group is a family-run, internationally active company in the entertainment and leisure industry with headquarters in Espelkamp and Lübbecke (East Westphalia). The Group has been developing, producing and selling amusement machines, games, system solutions and money management systems for over 65 years. The Gauselmann Group also operates the Merkur Casino chain of gaming facilities, the Merkur casinos and casinos on cruise ships and is active in the areas of sports betting and online gaming. In 2022, the Gauselmann Group generated a combined annual turnover of over EUR 3.5 billion with almost 15,000 employees worldwide.
