Luther advises Autohaus Sahm on the sale of the Mercedes-Benz service business to the LUEG Group

Ratingen, 19.02.2024 – The automotive business is changing and consolidation is currently taking place at all levels. LUEG AG & Co. KG will take over Mercedes-Benz customer service for cars and vans from Sahm GmbH in Ratingen on 1 April 2024. The seller was advised on the transaction by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.

Background

The takeover is part of LUEG's Strategy 2030+, which aims to expand its dealership business and strengthen the Düsseldorf catchment area. LUEG will continue to develop the location in the spirit of the Sahm family and offer customers the usual service at the location. All 50 employees will be integrated into the company.

LUEG is active in the classic car dealership business with sales brands such as Mercedes-Benz, smart, Volvo, Ineos and Ferrari and is one of the largest providers of individual mobility in Germany. Founded in 1868 as a car factory in Bochum, the LUEG Group today employs a total of almost 2,500 people in Europe.
