Senior Associate
Salvatore Calcagno specialises in insolvency and restructuring advice. He primarily acts as an advisor to companies in crisis and deals with insolvency law issues. His services include performing preparatory work and providing legal assistance both before a company files for insolvency and during insolvency proceedings. Furthermore, he advises managing directors on their obligations under corporate and insolvency law and on liability issues. Salvatore Calcagno further advises shareholders and creditors on matters relating to insolvency law and on the enforcement and defence of insolvency-specific claims.
Salvatore Calcagno studied law at the University of Tübingen (Germany). After being admitted to the German Bar in 2011, he initially worked primarily in the area of insolvency administration and then, in 2016, joined the reorganisation and insolvency team of a leading German law firm that specialised in insolvency law.
In 2020, Salvatore Calcagno moved to Luther, where he is a member of the Service Line Commercial. He additionally works as an assistant lecturer in insolvency law for the study programme Accounting, Taxation and Business Law at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW).
