Hannah-Laura Schütte advises companies operating in Germany and internationally on insolvency and restructuring issues. Her legal practice focuses on insolvency administration and debtor-in-possession proceedings and on extra-judicial restructuring procedures. Her services include, in particular, performing preparatory work and providing legal assistance before the application to open insolvency proceedings is filed, as well as advising creditors, companies and their directors and officers prior to insolvency on all matters pertaining to insolvency law. Hannah-Laura Schütte further specialises in enforcing and defending against insolvency-specific liability claims (liability claims against managing directors and management board members under Section 15b German Insolvency Statute (InsO), Section 93 German Stock Corporation Act (AktG), capital replacement) and claims regarding contesting transactions that were performed by the debtor before the insolvency proceedings were opened. In addition to the above, Hannah-Laura Schütte also advises companies on employment law issues in an insolvency context.
Hannah-Laura Schütte studied law at the University of Cologne (Germany) and carried out her legal training in Dusseldorf (Germany), also completing a training period in a renowned insolvency administration firm. Hannah-Laura Schütte was admitted to the German Bar in 2017. Before joining Luther, she worked as a lawyer in a renowned commercial law firm.
