Anja Schwarz advises national and international clients in diverse industries on all contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to IP law, in particular, trademark, copyright and competition law issues.
She specialises in advising on the drafting of contracts (cooperation, licence, and R&D agreements), on IP-related transactions, on the registration, renewal and transfer of IP rights and on the permissibility of business practices from a competition law perspective, as well as in conducting disputes before trademark offices and litigating in court.
Anja Schwarz regularly gives lectures, provides training and holds workshops on IP topics for clients and international delegations, in Germany and abroad.
After spending a year in China studying Chinese, Anja Schwarz studied law in Passau (Germany), Tours (France) and Bonn (Germany), following which she went on to obtain a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in London (England).
Anja Schwarz commenced her professional career working for almost eight years in the IP department of the Dusseldorf (Germany) office of a large international law firm. She subsequently worked for just under four years at Luther LLP in Singapore before moving to Luther’s Cologne office in September 2022, where she has since worked as an IP lawyer.
