Frankfurt – More than 30 German commercial law firms have founded the Federal Association of Commercial Law Firms (BWD). Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft is a founding member and is represented on the board.
The founding members – 31 German commercial law firms – employ 17,000 people, including almost 4,900 lawyers. Together they achieve a turnover of more than EUR 2 billion per year.
In the new association, interests are to be bundled and organised and professional, strategic and future-oriented issues are to be jointly promoted. An Advisory Board, which includes in-house lawyers, will build bridges to clients, while a Scientific Board will provide an academic perspective.
Luther Managing Partner Elisabeth Lepique will be appointed to the eight-member board of the association.
