Dr Isabel Schäfer

Dr Isabel Schäfer advises national and international clients on all areas of individual and collective employment law, with a special focus on matters pertaining to works constitution law and the implementation of staff measures. In addition, she also provides advice on the drafting of employment contracts, the termination of employment and service relationships and the acquisition and restructuring of undertakings.

Employment Law

Dr Isabel Schäfer studied law at the University of Hamburg (Germany) from 2004 to 2009 and then went on to do her doctorate in the field of works constitution law, working at the same time as a research assistant in the employment and benefits division of an international commercial law firm. As part of her legal training, she completed training periods at the Hamburg Labour Court and in the HR department of a large German retail company, amongst others. Prior to joining Luther, Isabel Schäfer had been working as a lawyer in the employment and benefits division of an international commercial law firm since 2014.
