Sebastian Walthierer advises companies as well as employers’ associations and trade unions on company pension issues. His advisory services include clarifying all employment, tax and social security issues, for example, in connection with the introduction or adjustment of company pension solutions. Sebastian Walthierer also has sound practical knowledge of the implementation of pension commitments through external pension payers, in particular, insurance companies.
Sebastian Walthierer studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth and Bonn (both Germany). After passing his second state law exam and working for several years in the HR department of a trade and tourism group, where he dealt with employment law issues, he started to focus on company pension law. He has a wealth of experience advising on company pension issues, having worked for several years as an inhouse consultant for a large specialist broker in the field of company pensions and in the company pension division of a leading German insurance company. Sebastian Walthierer has been admitted to practise as an (inhouse) lawyer since 2008.
