Sarah Komets studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany) and carried out her legal training in Frankfurt/O. and Berlin (both Germany) and in New York (USA). Sarah Komets has worked in public procurement law since 2011. She worked for many years in public procurement and contract law in the legal department of a large contracting authority and its subsidiaries in the area of high-security technology, who acted at the same time as a bidder in the market. In addition, Sarah Komets also sped up public procurement processes, as well as standardisation processes in the fields of public procurement and contract law, and advised the undertaking strategically from a public procurement law perspective on matters such as stakes in other companies or considerations regarding the group’s structure before becoming head of the public procurement office. Therefore, Sarah Komets is very familiar with the practical requirements of public procurement law, both from the contracting authority’s perspective and from the perspective of the bidder.
