Marie Meier studied law at the Ruhr University Bochum and at the same time completed the German-French study programme in national and European commercial law at the Université de Tours in France, which she successfully completed with a Licence en droit. She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Bochum with stations at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection in the department for state aid control policy as well as in the legal and elective station at Luther in Essen in the area of public procurement law (Team Dr Stefan Mager).
