Johannes Pieper advises primarily European corporations in their activities in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. His areas of expertise include cross-border transactions and incorporations, M&A, private equity, joint ventures and other corporate transactions.

Vita

Johannes Pieper studied law at Humboldt University Berlin and at the University of Manchester, where he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law. During his studies in Berlin and Manchester, he was supported by a scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. After a stint in the antitrust department of a leading British law firm in Brussels, he completed his legal clerkship at the district court of Aachen, followed by the Second State Examination in Dusseldorf in 2014. Between 2014 and 2019, he worked in the notarial profession, first as an assistant notary, then as a notary in his own practice, covering the entire array of notarial services, in particular in the fields of corporate law, real estate law and succession planning. Between 2020 and 2023, he worked as an associate for the Frankfurt office of a leading US law firm in the fields of corporate law and capital markets law. He joined Luther in March 2024.
