Gerrit Feuerherdt advises clients on matters relating to digitalisation, digital transformation and digital business models, with a particular focus on all matters pertaining to national and international information technology and data protection law. Another focus area is telecommunications law, where his range of services includes, amongst other things, reviewing and drafting IT contracts, advising on the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation in companies and classifying services from a telecommunications law perspective. In addition, he deals with e-commerce issues and with the regulatory requirements for information technology in the financial sector.
Gerrit Feuerherdt studied law at the University of Cologne (Germany) with an emphasis on intellectual property and competition law. As part of his legal training, he worked for the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), the corporate legal department of a leading, DAX-listed telecommunications company, and Luther’s IP/IT practice, amongst others. Gerrit Feuerherdt passed his second state law exam in 2019 and joined Luther the same year.
