Frederic Tewes can advise you throughout the life cycle of a property or plant. He advises on all matters related to building, architectural and real estate law, from purchase or construction, financing, planning and use all the way through to sale and beyond. Moreover, he also acts as a litigator, enforcing and defending claims in court.
Frederic Tewes further has particular expertise in providing legal advice and assistance to principals and contractors in connection with renewable energy projects concerning both new builds and existing properties, as well as in transaction consulting.
Frederic Tewes advises in German and English and is a regular lecturer at in-house seminars on real estate law topics.
Frederic Tewes studied law at the University of Bonn (Germany). While doing his doctorate, he simultaneously worked as a research assistant for a leading building and real estate law firm in Mönchengladbach (Germany). Part of his legal training involved working at the German Federal Foreign Office (German Embassy in Pristina (Kosovo)) and in Luther’s Shanghai office (China).
Frederic Tewes joined Luther as a lawyer in 2017, having previously worked as a legal consultant in an international commercial law firm in Singapore. Frederic Tewes has been a certified specialist in building and architectural law and a visiting lecturer on architectural law at the Construction Academy of the University of Applied Sciences in Biberach (Germany) since 2023. In addition, he is also a regular speaker on real estate law at the RWTH Aachen University (Germany).
