Specialty chemicals: Luther advises United Initiators on acquisition of Azelis Peroxides

United Initiators is a company which arose from Degussa and produces and sells persulfates – used for example in detergents and cleaning agents – and organic peroxides for plastics production. The company has about 600 employees and operates in Germany as well as in Sweden, the United States, China and Australia.

By acquiring Azelis Peroxides SAS, United Initiators extends its group of companies with further specialist warehouse facilities. The parties agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. Luther acted as international counsel and provided comprehensive legal advice on this transaction.

Seller is Azelis, one of the world’s largest distributors of specialty chemicals. The group’s parent company, Azelis Holding S.A., has its registered office in Antwerp, Belgium.
