Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems GmbH acquires a minority interest in Belgian Railnova SA as part of a share purchase agreement and a capital increase. Luther provided legal support for the transaction.

Knorr-Bremse Systeme Rail Vehicle Systems GmbH is a subsidiary of Munich-based Knorr-Bremse AG. The company equips local and long-distance rail vehicles with braking, boarding and power supply systems.

Railnova is a Brussels-based technology company offering both fleet and maintenance workflow software and telematics solutions for the rail industry. Railnova's customers include blue chip companies such as Eurotunnel and DB Cargo.

Knorr-Bremse joins Railnova as a minority shareholder. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the investment and the purchase price. A team from Luther Lawfirm led by Dr. Andreas Blunk provided Knorr-Bremse legal advice on the transaction.
