Background

The Swiss Conzzeta Group, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, is selling its glass processing segment to the Finnish Glaston Corporation, listed on NASDAQ Helsinki Ltd., for 68 million euros. Luther provided legal advice to Glaston on the transaction.

The Finnish Glaston Corporation, based in Helsinki, offers glass processing technologies and services in various areas and generated net sales of 110 million euros in 2017. With the acquisition of Conzzeta's glass processing segment, Glaston is strengthening its position as one of the leading suppliers in the glass processing industry. By combining the complementary activities of the two companies, Glaston will be able to offer a broad portfolio of machines, services and solutions from a single source, according to President and CEO Arto Metsänen.

Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft provided legal support to Glaston during the transaction with an interdisciplinary team. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter.

Conzzeta AG is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (SIX: CON). The shares of Glaston (GLA1V) are listed on NASDAQ Helsinki Ltd.
