Luca Thönes, LL.M. (Miami)

Luca Thönes specialises in representing clients in national and international arbitration proceedings and maritime transactions.

She has significant experience in complex investment and commercial arbitration proceedings under the ICSID, ICC and DIS Rules, in particular in the areas of energy, construction (in particular, offshore wind parks) and corporate disputes (joint ventures, post-M&A).

Her maritime practice focuses on all aspects of sale and purchase processes, including matters of registration and flagging out.

Complex Disputes

Luca Thönes has been a member of the firm’s Complex Disputes team since 2025.

She holds an LL.B. in Comparative and European Law from the Hanse Law School (Universities of Bremen and Oldenburg (both Germany)) and an LL.M. in International Arbitration from the University of Miami (USA).
