Frank Wilbert has many years' experience advising German and international clients on asset management as well as investment and insurance supervisory law.
The main focus of his work is advising institutional investors, in particular also investors regulated by insurance supervisory law, on complex fund investments in AI asset classes private equity, private debt, infrastructure, sustainable, real estate and timber and hedge funds.
Furthermore, he advises on the structuring and establishment of regulated and non-regulated domestic and foreign funds and other investment products as well as the establishment of investment platforms.
Frank Wilbert studied law in Bonn (Germany). After completing his first state exam in 2004, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Civil Law, Private International Law, Comparative Law and European Private Law at the University of Bonn (Germany), where he also obtained his doctorate in 2006.
After completing his second state exam, Frank Wilbert worked from 2008 to 2010 for the law firm SJ Berwin in the practice group Financial Services and from 2010 to April 2019 for the law firm Dechert LLP also in the practice group Financial Services.
