Dr Silvia Hartmann advises clients on all matters pertaining to competition, trademark and copyright law, in and out of court. She further focusses on IT law, in particular, on the drafting of contract models relating to the purchase, development, distribution, licensing and maintenance of software and on advising national and international companies on data protection law, IT compliance and e-commerce.
Dr Silvia Hartmann was born in 1986. She studied law in Konstanz (Germany), Valencia (Spain) and Berlin (Germany). As part of her legal training, she worked for a newspaper publishing company and an international business law firm in trademark and competition law. In 2015, she was admitted to the German Bar. Whilst doing her doctorate, she gained professional experience working for a small law firm that specialised in IP law and then worked full time for a larger medium-sized law firm, again in the area of IP. Silvia Hartmann was awarded her doctorate for a thesis on an unfair competition law topic. She joined Luther in 2018.
