Hilmar Rölz advises on all matters pertaining to individual and collective employment law, including the strategic and economic aspects involved. His advisory services comprise providing employment law advice in connection with transactions and corporate restructurings, including in the areas of co-determination and staff reductions. In addition to providing legal advice, he also acts as a litigator in legal disputes before labour and civil courts.
A further focus is employment law advice on transactions and restructuring of companies, including the areas of business transfers, co-determination and staff cuts. His practice also includes contract drafting for atypical employment contracts (in particular temporary employment) and compliance advice.
In addition to legal advice, his practice includes litigation before labor courts and civil courts in disputes.
After studying law and European legal practice at the Universities of Hanover (Germany) and Nottingham (England), Dr Hilmar Rölz carried out his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Celle (Germany), which included, inter alia, working for the German Foreign Office in Paris (France). Dr Hilmar Rölz received a doctorate in employment law from the University of Hanover. While writing his thesis, he worked as a research assistant in the employment law department of the Dusseldorf (Germany) office of a large international law firm. Dr Hilmar Rölz was admitted to the German Bar in 2015. He started his career at Luther and then joined the M&A/employment practice of an international business law firm before returning to Luther in April 2017. He is a certified specialist in employment law since 2018.
