Daniel Fehling advises his clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and on corporate law matters. His M&A / Private Equity services include comprehensive advice during the transaction process and negotiating the relevant contracts, both buy-side and sell-side. His expertise includes asset deals as well as share deals. Daniel Fehling's clients are medium to large sized (family) businesses, strategic investors, entrepreneurs and family offices. In the area of corporate law, the focus of his advisory services is on restructurings as well as structuring of investment funds. In such areas Daniel Fehling offers also a broad experience in advising on complex disputes (e.g. post-M&A and management liability proceedings).
A further focus of Daniel Fehling lies on maritime law matters. Daniel Fehling advises owners of merchant vessel and river and sea going cruise ships as well as financial investors, ship manager and family offices on, in particular, the building process (negotiating ship building contracts as well as relating financing agreements) as well as on sales and purchases. He further advises on all aspects relating to charter, pooling and management agreements.

After studying law at the University of Trier (Germany) and at the University of Athens (Greece) from 2001 to 2006, which also included an additional qualification in Anglo-American law, Daniel Fehling obtained his LL.M. in commercial law from the University of Auckland (New Zealand) in 2007.
Following his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Celle (Germany), Daniel Fehling was admitted to the German Bar in 2010. Before joining Luther in 2013, he worked for two medium-sized law firms, specialising in commercial, corporate and procedural law. Daniel Fehling is a certified specialist in commercial and corporate law and a certified specialist in banking and capital markets law.
