Dr. Karin Deichmann advises public clients and companies on all matters relating to public commercial law, in particular public procurement law. She supports the public sector in the conception and legally compliant design of procurement procedures, particularly in the areas of IT and healthcare. She also assists bidders in public procurement review proceedings and in the preparation of legally compliant bids. Dr. Karin Deichmann also deals with issues relating to state aid and subsidy law.
Dr. Karin Deichmann studied law at Georg August University in Göttingen. After completing an LL.M. degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT), she also earned her doctorate in Göttingen. She completed her legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal. Dr Deichmann then worked as a solicitor in a medium-sized law firm specialising in public procurement law from 2021 and has held the title of specialist solicitor for public procurement law since 2024. She joined the Luther team in November 2025.
