Luther gains renowned financing expert Dr Guido Hoffmann as partner

Reinforcement for Luther's Banking & Finance and Restructuring practice groups: As of 1 July 2025, Dr Guido Hoffmann (49) will be joining the firm as a new partner, bringing with him extensive expertise in corporate, real estate, project and acquisition finance, as well as financial restructuring and problem loans.

With his move, Dr. Guido Hoffmann, together with a senior associate, will strengthen Luther's dynamically growing advisory teams in the areas of banking & finance and restructuring & insolvency, which are continuously and visibly expanding their market position in these areas.

Dr. Guido Hoffmann has been admitted to the bar for more than 20 years. He previously worked for over 13 years as a partner at the law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Düsseldorf, where he built up a strong practice and a large international network. With his many years of experience in advising on complex national and international transactions, he and his team bring in-depth expertise and new impetus for the further development of Luther's transaction practice.

Luther regularly advises both lenders (banks and credit funds) and borrowers, such as companies, private equity firms, investors and family offices, on complex financing transactions and their restructuring. In addition, Luther provides comprehensive advice on corporate finance issues. Dr. Hoffmann's experience and industry knowledge are an ideal complement to further expand these growth areas and Luther's transaction practice as a whole.

About Dr Guido Hoffmann:

Dr Guido Hoffmann has been a qualified lawyer since 2003 and has more than two decades of experience in advising on national and international transactions. After working for Gleiss Lutz and Clifford Chance in Frankfurt, London and Düsseldorf, he became an equity partner in Heuking's Düsseldorf office in 2012. He studied law at the University of Münster and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cornell University in 2001 before receiving his doctorate from the University of Hanover in 2003.
