Maximilian advises primarily European companies and startups in investment projects in the Asia/Pacific region with a particular focus on Singapore. His areas of expertise include corporate law, private equity transactions, domestic and cross border M&A, regulatory law and employment law. Maximilian has a particular interest in the healthcare and biotech sectors as well as legal tech.
Maximilian studied law at Humboldt University Berlin and at the University of Oxford, where he completed his Master's degree in the Magister Juris (M.Jur.) programme. Subsequently, he was a doctoral student at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich with visiting researcher positions at the University of Hong Kong and Georgetown University. In 2018 he obtained his Doctorate (Dr.jur.) from the Ludwig Maximilians University Munich (LMU) and was certified as a Commercial Mediator by the Munich Centre of Dispute Resolution (MucDR). He completed his legal training in Berlin with stints at leading national and international law firms as well as the German Chancellery. He joined Luther in April 2019.
