Dr Florian Schulz advises on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), corporate law, maritime business law and investment fund law. His M&A services especially include carrying out due diligence reviews, providing assistance during the transaction process, and drafting and negotiating contracts, including joint venture agreements. In the area of corporate law, he particularly advises on national and international restructurings and reorganisations. Dr Florian Schulz further advises on investment funds, including, inter alia, shipping, real estate, container and renewable energy funds. He has conducted over 200 lawsuits in his areas of expertise, in particular, post-M&A proceedings, proceedings regarding disputes among shareholders, and proceedings in relation to banking and capital markets law. He regularly lectures on commercial and corporate law issues. His clients include investors, issuing houses, banks, shipping companies, investment companies, port operators and trading houses.

Dr Florian Schulz was born in 1969. He studied law at the University of Hamburg, Germany, following which he earned his MBA from NIMBAS Business School, where he specialised in Financial Management. He was admitted to the German Bar in 1998 and received his doctorate in 2001 for a thesis on an international issue. Dr Schulz joined Luther’s predecessor firm in 2002. He is a certified specialist in commercial and corporate law as well as banking and capital markets law. He is co-head of the German-wide Complex Disputes Team and head of the the Hamburg office.
