Dr. Stefanie Hellmich provides legal counsel in copyright and competition law, data privacy law, and electronic business dealings. She also specialises in issues in IT and licensing law in the context of drafting contracts and agreements for distribution, outsourcing, cooperative agreements, maintenance, and support. She offers assistance during business transactions and provides legal advice to both providers and users in designing and revising IT contracts including complex ERP projects, ASP and outsourcing contracts, Shared Service and Service Level Agreements, distribution contracts, leasing contracts, and General Terms and Conditions. Dr Hellmich also advises on the implementation of the EBA Guidelines.
After finishing her degree at the University of Bielefeld, Germany, in 1994, Dr Stefanie Hellmich completed a Master de Derecho de la Unión Europea at the University of Carlos III, Madrid, Spain, in 1995 and was admitted to the bar in 1998. In the same year, she completed a secondment at Garrigues Andersen in Madrid. She joined Luther’s predecessor firmin 1998 and has remained with the firm ever since.
