Mareike Banaszak was born in 1989. She studied law at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) with an emphasis on insurance and insolvency law. As part of her legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, she worked for a renowned boutique law firm that specialised in insurance and liability law and also dealt with insurance supervisory law. She then worked as a project lawyer, in connection with arbitration proceedings, for a large renowned international law firm in Frankfurt am Main. Mareike Banaszak joined Luther as a lawyer in 2018 and works in litigation.
